PATRICK D. QUINN was born in Painesville, Ohio, August 5, 1951. He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1972 in Political Science, with distinction. He graduated from Cleveland Marshall College of Law with a J.D. in 1976. He was admitted to the Ohio bar on November 19, 1976, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio on February 4, 1980. He was also admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court in May, 1997.
Mr. Quinn has practiced law since 1972 and is the founder and president of Quinn Legal Associates, Inc. He has developed his skills as a trial attorney litigating cases in state and federal courts for over thirty-three years. He attended the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and successfully completed the program receiving his diploma on July 3, 1981. Mr. Quinn is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Further, Mr. Quinn obtained his Executive MBA at Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana. He has been successful in recovering substantial compensation for his clients and focuses his practice on civil litigation in medical malpractice and serious personal injury. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and Lake County Bar Association.
Patrick D. Quinn has been involved in the defense of DUI cases on behalf of his clients for over 33 years. During the course of his career he has represented over 1500 people charged with DUI in all phases of their defense including arguing Motions to Suppress, filing Motions for Discovery and Inspection, Bills of Particulars, Exculpating Information, Motions to Dismiss and jury trials.

Mr. Quinn is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, Inc., and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since December 1, 2003.
Mr. Quinn also attended the National Institute of Trial Advocacy in 1991 and has been engaged in a very active trial practice since 1976.
Mr. Quinn recently represented a multiple DUI/OVI offender in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas who had been charged with a third degree felony based on five or more convictions for DUI/OVI within 20 years which resulted in specifications requiring mandatory incarceration of 1 year. Mr. Quinn was successful in removing these specifications and negotiating a plea which allowed the self-employed client to save his business.
Mr. Quinn has represented many felony DUI clients. He is very familiar with the AA program. He is also a board member of a treatment facility for alcohol and drug addiction.
Mr. Quinn has extensive experience in arguing Motions to Suppress based upon lack of probable cause to stop an offender, improper administration of field sobriety tests, failure to adhere to the National Highway Safety Standards, scientific attacks of breathalyzer results including calibration, logs and the operation of different testing equipment.
